Where is money best spent?

At Dine By Design we have developed a unique budgeting tool that produces a guide price. We take several key factors of your kitchen in to account.

The main kitchen expenses filter down into four areas;

  1. Structural – Wall, floors,ceiling and building works
  2. Extraction ventilation system
  3. Catering Equipment – Cooking and refrigeration
  4. Stainless steel made to measure tables, benches and ancillary items

We tread carefully when discussing financial budgets but this often helps in the early stages of the design process.

When looking at a general budget cost for the supply and installation of a small, medium or large kitchen, we have created a few examples as to how these costs are calculated;

Small Kitchen – £20,000 – £30,000

Whats included:

  • Approximate kitchen size of 12m²+
  • Extraction system
  • Catering equipment: 2 or 3 cooking equipment pieces.
  • Ware washing: under counter dishwasher accompanied by the relevant stainless steel fabrication.
  • Structural requirements: safety altro flooring and hygienic wall cladding.
  • Under counter fridge and freezer – this method is used to utilise restricted space for food preparation.

Medium Kitchen – £30,000 – £70,000

Whats included:

  • Approximate kitchen size of 25m²+.
  • Extraction canopy
  • Catering equipment: 4 or 5 cooking equipment pieces.
  • Ware washing: hood type dishwasher accompanied with the relevant stainless steel fabrication.
  • Food preparation area would include stainless steel fabrication.
  • Refrigeration: Up right fridge and freezer to accommodate more food produce.

Large Kitchen – £70,000+

Whats included:

  • Approximate kitchen size of 70m²+
  • Extraction canopy
  • Catering Equipment: 6+ Cooking equipment pieces.
  • Ware washing: Hood or conveyor type dishwasher with the relevant stainless steel fabrication.
  • Food preparation are would include stainless steel fabrication and potentially an hot food holder.
  • Refrigeration: up right fridge/ freezer or cold room storage.
